Interactive touch screen technology is changing the way we interface with devices. It introduces a whole new dimension of interactive possibilities by allowing the user to feel connected and in control of their experience. Soon touch screen technology will allow us to control everyday objects around about us, including our computer and household equipment.
Touch screen technologies that are implemented in current electronic products are cumbersome and relatively expensive, as well as being unreliable in lots of circumstances. Baanto™ technology provides home and business users with a reliable and durable platform that features a robust multi-touch capability at a significantly lower cost than has previously been possible.
Very cost competitive with all current touch screen technologies, from 6.5” to 120”+ displays, and elegant tracking algorithm can be implemented in a substantially low cost micro-controller.
Low cost IR LED's are used as active emitters that can provide for true multi-touch implementations with frame rates of up to 240FPS.
The system also has low latency, (<10 ms achievable) a possibility of 1 mm resolution with no drift and zero calibration issues. Because no overlays or films are needed on top of the display, brightness is maximized. Additional protective screens can be used where circumstances dictate without affecting performance.
Designed-in intelligent software can reject surface contaminants such as gum, dust and other objects.
