Rehabilitation

As the medical community better understands the various healing processes, rehabilitation becomes more feasible. One problem with physical rehab has often been quantitative analysis at a reasonable cost.

Be it sports injury, trauma or stroke rehabilitation the problem has always been how to measure a patients ability to accurately perform exercises at home, or in a clinic that does not have expensive monitoring equipment. Very often it is difficult even for the most experienced therapists to identify small changes for the better or the worse.

Baanto™ technology is capable of providing patients with real time feedback on their range of motion by tracking the movements of the limbs and extremities in 3D space, and with great accuracy at moderate cost.

This process provides accurate results to determine if the level of treatment needs to be adjusted.

Capable of independent, absolute tracking of multiple separate sources in real time, with high frame-rate capture of all tracking information, and the ability to resolve up to 6 Degrees of Freedom (X, Y, Z, yaw, pitch and roll data) for each individual source. Accurate relative position measurement is also achievable.

Positional resolution of 1mm or less in a 30cm x 30cm x 30cm volume is possible, in a system that is portable and easy to deploy, yet robust enough to allow for mass manufacturing process that will minimise cost.

Limited or zero calibration required upon setup, even after transportation, and equipped with USB or Bluetooth/Wi-fi based connectivity for data recording and transmission.
