Matthew M. Gibson, President and Chief Technology Officer of Syngraffii has been with that Company since the LongPen™ technology was first envisioned in 2004. Initially an Idea Management Consultant, he is currently responsible for managing the forward momentum of the firm and its products, encompassing intellectual property development, strategic partner negotiations, IP licensing, and overall corporate mandate adherence.
Gibson has worked in new product development for over twenty years and has expertise in diverse consumer and industrial markets. Specializing in intellectual property identification and development, Gibson possesses the idea management experience, from prototyping, proof of concept trials, product refinement and the development of manufacturing processes to take a product from concept to reality.
Gibson also brings extensive negotiation and licensing experience, combined with a lateral thought process, and excels in the identification, contact and management of strategic partnerships.
Gibson’s background includes the development and global licensing of the board game "Hot Property" to Chieftain Products; the development, marketing and sales of the world's most durable windsurfing fins, under the brand name "VooDoo"; entered into negotiations with four of the leading America’s Cup Syndicates for the VooDoo Deformable Geometry Keel Design; licensed and commercialized a patented Canadian industrial mixing technology "Vortex Ring Mixers" from McMaster University and licensed and developed an award winning patented perpetual sifting device "Quick Sand" Cat Litter System.
He also has extensive experience in high-technology solutions and worked closely with the UK's MinorPlanet Systems plc on the North American expansion plans for their computerized vehicle tracking and monitoring systems.
